Maidstone Innovation Centre joins UKSPA

Maidstone Innovation Centre (MIC), Maidstone’s newest high-spec business destination is now part of the prestigious UK Science Park Association (UKSPA) network thanks to joint membership via Kent Medical Campus.

The MIC, which is scheduled to open later this year, is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020, and offers flexible working space, offices, meeting rooms and conference facilities. Part of the Kent Medical Campus, it is aimed at businesses working in the life science, healthcare and medical sectors.

Membership of UKSPA, the only national association for science parks, innovation centres and technology incubators, is open to only the most specialist locations and companies demonstrating innovation in the sector.

It supports members by providing a collaborative community of professionals, sharing best practice, knowledge and advice. Maidstone Borough Council Leader, Cllr David Burton comments:

“The Maidstone Innovation Centre is a fantastic location designed to nurture start-ups and growing businesses making a real difference to people’s lives and bringing new job opportunities for our residents.
